Cancer Council of Reno County

To provide service to individuals and families affected by cancer and to provide education about prevention and treatment of cancer to the general public. To promote cancer education in Reno County by expanding and developing public education, professional education programs and Dr. Waddle color books for children. To coordinate, facilitate and reimburse necessary travel to and from treatment centers for Reno County residents. To provide limited reimbursement for medical expenses such as medication, equipment and nutritional supplements. (Not to include treatment cost or physicians' fees.) To assist patients in obtaining necessary medical equipment through an equipment loan program. To be flexible to work with other non-profit groups such as RSVP, Hospice, Victory in the Valley, American Cancer Society, etc. to coordinate, to raise funds and to educate.

Children’s Emergency Shelter

Children's Emergency Shelter is a safe, temporary respite home for children ages 0 - 13 who've been removed from their homes due to abuse or gross neglect.

Healthy Families Hutchinson

Healthy Families-Hutchinson / Kansas Children's Service League assists new parents overburdened by stress factors, provides parent education, child development and helps link families with community resources.

Kansas Legal Services, Inc.

Kansas Legal Services, a statewide non-profit organization, is dedicated to helping low income Kansans meet their basic needs through the provision of essential legal and mediation services.

Personal Safety Awareness Program

Personal Safety Awareness Program teaches children how to avoid becoming victims of sexual assault. This is a project of Horizons Mental Health Center.

Sexual Assault/Domestic Violence Center

Provides confidential, non-judgmental support and shelter to anyone who has been affected by domestic violence or sexual assault.

Visions of Hope (CASA)

Visions of Hope, Inc. provides programs to ensure that children who come in contact with the juvenile court system have the right to safe, loving and nurturing homes.
