Plevna Tornado Disaster Relief – How You Can Help or Get Help

Our hearts are with the Plevna community and all those affected by the recent tornado. United Way of Reno County, in partnership with Reno County VOAD, is coordinating support for response and recovery efforts.

If you or a family member has been impacted and needs assistance with food, shelter, clean-up, or other urgent needs, please call United Way of Reno County at 620-669-9329. We're here to connect you to the right resources.

Donate Goods

We are currently accepting specific donations to support those impacted by the Plevna tornado. At this time, the most needed items are:

  • Dillons gift cards

  • Wal-Mart gift cards

  • Cell phone chargers (new or gently used, with cables)

  • New, unopened hygiene products (toothpaste, soap, shampoo, etc.)

For drop-off times and locations please call The Salvation Army at 620-663-3353.

If you have a desire to donate food for first responders, please call United Way of Reno County for further details at 620-669-9329.

 

Volunteer Opportunities

The community of Plevna has shown a strong and heartfelt response, with many volunteers already stepping up to help.
